Dafruta sabor caju juice concentrate 500 ml is 500 ml of concentrated juice from the cashew fruit, also known as the cashew apple
or the Brazilian "caju" fruit (pronounced "kazu").
This thick, aromatic concentrate turns into a refreshing and thirst-quenching drink when diluted with water
(sparkling or still). Caju juice concentrate can also be used to make desserts such as mousses, ice cream, sorbets, and cakes.
Caju is one of Brazil's most surprising fruits. It's a surprising, juicy pseudo-cashew fruit (cashew apple) resembling a pear or bell
yellow-orange or red in color, highly aromatic, with a sweet-tart flavor, from which the true cashew nut grows.
In Brazil, it is used in juices, desserts, and jams, and is rich in vitamins A, B, and C, iron, calcium, potassium
as well as fiber and antioxidants.
The "apple" itself is edible raw, but the nut growing at the end of the fruit, the cashew nut, well-known in Europe
naturally contains a poisonous resin and requires special processing.
Interestingly, the cashew nut doesn't grow inside the fruit, but at the end; it is botanically
"attached" to this pseudo-fruit (apple), while the true fruit is small and inedible.
