The name "Balas de Coco" loosely translates to "coconut balls." Although the name suggests they are hard as balls,
the opposite is true. They melt in your mouth!
Traditional Bala de Cocos are made with just a few simple ingredients, such as coconut flakes and sugar.
The true quality, flavor, and melt-in-your-mouth texture result from stretching and kneading the caramel
mass for a longer period. This is time-consuming and labor-intensive, but that's the tradition.
