Known as rapadura in Brazil and as panela in other countries, this is a type of unrefined sugar traditionally made from freshly
 squeezed sugarcane juice. After pressing the cane juice, it is heated to evaporate, thus creating rapadura.
 Rapadura is firm but easy to slice. It is not only sweet but also has a pleasant and distinctive caramel-fruity
 flavor with hints of licorice. It also contains all the nutrients found in cane sugar. 
It provides significant amounts of vitamin A, some B vitamins, C, D, and E. Minerals include calcium, 
potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium, copper, zinc, and manganese.

It can be used to sweeten absolutely anything—beverages, sweets, sauces, and marinades. It adds a unique flavor to dishes.
